To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Brno University of Technology, a ceremonial academic gathering was held on September 19 at the City Theatre in Brno. During the event, the university’s rector, Associate Professor Ladislav Janíček, Ph.D., MBA, LL.M., honored outstanding members of the academic community, including students, staff, and alumni from our institute.
The prestigious Gold Medal was awarded to Professor Jiří Spousta, Ph.D., in recognition of his lifelong contributions to the development of the university, particularly in the fields of education and organization.
The Rector’s Award for exceptional applied results was presented to our alumna, Kristýna Bukvišová, alongside her dissertation supervisor, Associate Professor Miroslav Kolíbal, Ph.D. Alumni Anna Kurowská and Jakub Vrábel were also acknowledged for their academic achievements. Additionally, Ing. Petr Dvořák, Ph.D., was recognized yet again as the winner of the student poll for the best educator in the bachelor’s studies category at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
